Agent recursive loops blow up context costs: 5% failures eat 25% of bill

Debugging a customer support agent revealed that frameworks like LangChain appending full history causes input tokens to compound in loops. Analysis shows a 5% failure rate hitting a 15-step cap accounts for 25% of total API costs. A client-side calculator was built to visualize this exposure.
