Ex-Coohom exec launches consumer 3DGS camera 'Pebble' backed by Freedom Valley and SenseTime

Product Launch: Zhuma Innovation introduces "Pebble," a consumer-grade 3DGS (3D Gaussian Splatting) spatial camera. Users can capture and reconstruct real-world 3D scenes by simply sweeping the camera like a video recorder, utilizing edge-cloud collaboration for processing.
Technology & Accessibility: Addressing the high cost and complexity of traditional scanning and the slowness of NeRF, Pebble lowers the barrier to entry through proprietary lightweight algorithms and hardware integration, positioning itself as an accessible, ready-to-use tool.
Team & Funding: Founder Zhang Ji is the former VP of Coohom (Kujiale) and ex-Glodon R&D GM. The team includes a Nanjing University professor and former Huawei directors. The company has closed Angel rounds with funding from Freedom Valley, SenseTime Capital, and CDH VGC.
Vision: Targeting ProC users (designers) initially, with plans to expand to general consumers for spatial memory capture. The company also aims to leverage collected 3D spatial data to train models for Embodied AI and World Models.
