Stripe confirmed it is acquiring AI model routing platform OpenRouter for a reported $7.5 billion. OpenRouter was valued at $1.3 billion just three months ago. As a neutral layer connecting 400+ models and 80+ providers, it serves clients like NVIDIA, Zoom, and Lovable. Stripe's founders linked the move to the 'singularity'.
