GitHub Copilot adds Teams integration for shared collaborative agent sessions

GitHub released a new feature for Microsoft Teams that turns discussions into shared agent sessions. Users can start a GitHub Copilot cloud agent session by mentioning @GitHub in a channel, thread, or direct message. Participants can ask questions, add context, and steer the work, with write-access users able to trigger code changes. This allows meeting decisions to be turned into actionable workflows, where Copilot operates asynchronously in a secure cloud sandbox. The feature is available in public preview for paid GitHub Copilot plans.
