Anthropic hires former Google TPU head Amir Salek to boost in-house chip development

According to Bloomberg, Anthropic has hired Amir Salek to join its compute team. Salek led Google's TPU business until 2022. This hire is part of Anthropic's strategic push to develop its own chips, aiming to reduce reliance on external compute providers and optimize model inference costs.
