Delta CEO Says AI Will Boost Profits 50% Via Dynamic Pricing
2C_ornot2C · x · 2026-08-22
Delta's CEO stated that an AI system called Fetcherr, which generates a unique price for each shopping request in real time, could boost profits by 50%. While Delta told Congress last year it wasn't using personal data for individualized pricing, its investor presentations describe building offers for "you, the individual." Airlines are currently exempt from FTC pricing oversight. Critics argue this AI maximizes extraction of consumer surplus rather than improving service.
