AI safety advocate: worrying about advanced AI risks shouldn't be taboo

Citing a thread about how AI-risk-minded Effective Altruists were once dismissed as elitists, researcher Andy Masley notes that people who spent the 2010s being lectured that worrying about AI was elitist and evil now watch commentators add ever more epicycles to their worldviews. His suggestion: simply include risks from advanced AI among the things worth worrying about.
