AI Agent workflow setup: 3 recommended configurations

After 23 days of intensive testing, the author evaluated almost every AI Agent tool and recommended three configurations for different needs:

Max Customize / Simplicity: Use Pi as the core with herdr (terminal) or bb (GUI). This setup is pure, cost-effective, and often outperforms other harnesses in clean evaluations.
Balanced (Author's Pick): oh-my-pi with herdr. Considered the best harness on the market, balancing Pi's customizability with herdr's flexibility.
It Just Works: Cursor (for cloud/multi-provider) or Codex (for mobile control) and GPT Live. Recommended for most users not using an API gateway, covering 90%+ of needs.
