Hydra-0 world model uses object flow to turn human demos into robot motions
YunzhuLiYZ · x · 2026-08-21
Researchers unveiled Hydra-0, a generalist world model whose key idea is using object flow as a shared visual interface across embodiments and objects for controllable video generation—letting one model learn from human, handheld-gripper, and robot interaction data.
The standout result: starting from a real video of a human doing a task, the desired object flow is extracted and used to condition the model, which then hallucinates a plausible robot motion producing the same object motion—a compelling glimpse of how a generalist world model can bridge human demonstrations and robot control.
