Autonomous Labs Launches 'Android for Robots' OS and Gives Away First Living Lamp

Autonomous Labs has released Autonomous OS, an open-source operating system designed to bring autonomy to robots, describing it as the 'Android for Robots.' The system integrates agentic reasoning engines like Hermes and Claude Code, enabling robots to see, hear, and act autonomously. The company also unveiled the 'Autonomous Lamp,' a $499 companion robot powered by this OS that can interact with its environment. To promote the ecosystem, they are launching a grant program, giving away a free Lamp to the developer with the best repository.
