Anthropic to let enterprises self-host 30-day logs, retains no copy
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-08-21
Anthropic is maintaining its 30-day retention rule for Mythos-class models for safety reasons but introducing a new mechanism: enterprises will store these logs within their own AWS/GCP infrastructure under their own access controls, with Anthropic retaining no copy. Claude Code head Boris Cherny confirmed the feature has been in development with customers and ships this fall. While data already stays in customer clouds via Bedrock or Google Cloud, this change applies to direct Claude Platform usage.
