DeepMind announced a research partnership with game studio FenrisCreations to tackle open AI challenges within game environments. Key focus areas include continual learning without forgetting, deep memory systems extending beyond current context windows, long-horizon planning over months or years, and multi-agent dynamics involving cooperation, negotiation, and emergent economics. The long-term goal is to use AI to co-create entirely new gameplay experiences with developers.
