User Report: Opus 5 Regresses, Context Compaction Losing Track

A user reported that Anthropic's Claude Opus model has clearly regressed in the update to v5, being more annoying than the v4.8 predecessor. Additionally, recent issues with context compaction have caused the model to completely lose the thread of the conversation.
