Cursor adds /goal command for autonomous agents, 35% of PRs now merged by AI
新智元 · wechat · 2026-08-21
Cursor has released a major upgrade for Cloud Agents, introducing the /goal command and a "Subscriptions" mechanism. Users can set high-level objectives (e.g., fix all tests), and the agent autonomously breaks down and executes the task until completion. The subscription feature enables agents to monitor PRs, Slack threads, and schedules, allowing them to automatically respond to comments, fix CI failures, and merge their own PRs. Cursor also introduced sub-agents that run in isolated virtual machines with separate project copies to handle parallel tasks efficiently. Official data reveals that over 35% of internal PRs are now created and merged by cloud agents. Starting August 24, Cursor Auto will switch from a flat rate to model-based pricing.
