- Monitoring: Initially easier to monitor as agents must use a known human language for communication.
Caveats:
- Over time, co-trained agents may develop their own code/language, hindering monitoring.
- Emergent behavior is hard to predict, raising alignment and safety concerns.
- Drawing a parallel to corporations, even with aligned participants, the emergent behavior can be misaligned.
