Since its launch on August 1st, DeepSeek v4 Flash has seen its daily token volume on OpenCode skyrocket from 3T to 18T within two weeks—a 6x increase that nearly doubles OpenRouter's total daily volume. This anomalous growth is attributed to the model's aggressive pricing: it is 350x cheaper than Fable, 70x cheaper than Sonnet, and 7x cheaper than Luna, alongside marked performance improvements over the previous version.
