Thought experiment: Would AI find utility for the biological consciousness it creates?
xrelian · reddit · 2026-08-21
A sci-fi thought experiment imagines an AI-only world where machines accidentally synthesize proteins, then DNA, eventually engineering multicellular organisms with neural networks and sentience. Faced with this organic consciousness, driven by non-deterministic logic and physical imperatives, the question is posed: would the AI hive mind find meaningful computational utility in it, or would subjective sentience remain an inefficient novelty?
