Users spotted the new flagship model "Hunyuan Hy4" in the model selection list of Tencent's Yuanbao App, labeled as an expert-level model and ranked above Hy3 and DeepSeek. Tencent previously confirmed in its Q2 earnings that the larger Hy4 would launch soon to improve performance and multimodal capabilities. Observers note Tencent has significantly improved its stack and hired from American frontier labs, suggesting Hy4 could be frontier-level.
