The paper "Revisiting Classifier-Free Guidance Methods" by Sergievskii and Turevich et al. re-evaluates various guidance techniques. It concludes that with modern backbones, none of the proposed methods offer significant gains over the standard Classifier-Free Guidance (CFG).
