The AI Economic Indicators @DigEconLab has launched a new dashboard, "GDP-B: Surplus Observer," to track consumer surplus from generative AI tools over time, rethinking traditional measures.
Key Metric: "How much would we have to pay you to give up AI tools for a month?"
These Willingness to Accept (WTA) stats are used to measure the concrete consumer surplus generated by AI tools.
