LukeW rebuilds personal AI system based on 50k+ user questions

Product designer Luke Wroblewski shared an upgrade to his personal AI assistant, "Ask LukeW." After answering 50,000+ questions over three years, the team rebuilt the retrieval system by introducing a lightweight classifier to analyze question types—such as time-bound, format-specific, or count queries—to select the optimal search strategy for more accurate answers.
