Local multi-agent parallelism hits limits; dev shifting to cloud
jarrodwatts · x · 2026-08-20
A developer reports hitting bottlenecks using Git worktrees for local parallel agents. As the project grew, agents conflicted, wasting time and space reinstalling dependencies and re-running tests across worktrees. This, combined with using frontier models, slowed down iteration cycles. The author plans to switch to cloud agents and faster models this week.
