Startup GeneralistAI introduced GEN-1.5, described as a one-shot learner: show it what to do once and it learns the task within seconds and generalizes. The company says the capability emerged from pretraining on physical data at scale, a step toward its mission of building general intelligence for the physical world. The demo gained attention after being featured in Wired's AI Lab newsletter.
