GEN-1.5 Achieves Zero-Shot Sim-to-Real Transfer for Robots
lukas_m_ziegler · x · 2026-08-20
GeneralistAI's GEN-1.5 model crosses the sim-to-real gap with zero-shot capabilities, where prompts formed entirely from simulated experience transfer directly to real robots. In some cases, it bridges the embodiment gap entirely: a human demonstrates a task with their hands, and the robot reproduces it immediately using its cameras. For few-shot learning, it adapts to new physical tasks in as few as 1–10 gradient steps on 1–5 minutes of data.
