KAIST STAI group opens applications for Autumn 2027 PhD programs

The Scalable Trustworthy AI (STAI) group at KAIST is now accepting applications for PhD, integrated MSc-PhD, and MSc programs for Autumn 2027 intake. Postdocs and interns are encouraged to apply year-round. The group aims to remove roadblocks to AI-led productivity boosts and is currently focusing on five areas:
- Uncertainty: Enabling models to flag unsure outputs.
- Search: Integrating AI with search and balancing parametric vs. non-parametric approaches.
- Evaluation and attribution: Measuring agentic systems and attributing failures to specific components.
