Databricks released AI Extract, a feature designed to solve the challenge of extracting fields from PDFs for agents without unwanted 'autocorrection' caused by next-token prediction. It achieves 95% accuracy compared to 87% for other solutions at very low cost. The function is callable directly from SQL and usable across the platform.
