Stanford's 'Physics of Agents': multi-agent collective behavior follows statistical physics laws

New work "Physics of Agents" from James Zou's team at Stanford. As AI agents become prevalent, they will interact and influence one another — can we predict the collective behavior that emerges? Surprisingly, the researchers find that agent dynamics follow compact, predictive laws of statistical physics, offering a physics framework for characterizing emergent multi-agent behavior.
