Cursor's /goal turns agents from one-shot tasks into persistent long-term goals
FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-08-20
Cursor is shifting agents from one-shot tasks toward long-term goals. With /goal, the agent keeps working toward an objective until it's done; /loop lets it periodically check progress, and Custom Mode keeps it aligned with specified rules. Example: /goal fix all flaky tests and restore CI — long-running tasks no longer need constant nudging.
