Infinite Red founder: mobile devs become quality and process engineers in the AI era
JeremyCMorgan · x · 2026-08-20
Jamon Holmgren, founder of Infinite Red, lays out a role evolution framework for the AI era: builder → quality engineer → process engineer. Builders prototype features and hand them to agents to flesh out; quality engineers inspect, rearchitect and polish the output (code and UX) before shipping; process engineers feed lessons back into the pipeline. He argues his 30 senior mobile devs are now best deployed in the latter two roles.
