Massachusetts town cuts ties with Flock Safety amid misuse scandal

The town of Stow, Massachusetts, has severed ties with Flock Safety and removed its automated license plate readers. This follows a separate case in Louisiana where an officer was fired for allegedly using the surveillance cameras to access information on people they know. Flock Safety, an AI-enabled surveillance firm, announced new guardrails amid growing public backlash over its technology.
