Claude Code 2.1.237 broken install: missing native packages for Windows/Linux
vizi0uz · ghdev · 2026-08-20
A severe packaging failure affects Claude Code version 2.1.237. While the main package is tagged as latest, three critical native platform dependencies (Linux x64, Linux x64-musl, and Windows x64) were never published to the npm registry. Consequently, installs on these major platforms result in a non-functional 500-byte stub file instead of the actual CLI. The error message on Windows is misleading, suggesting an architecture mismatch. Only macOS and ARM variants are unaffected.
