Generalist AI introduced GEN-1.5, a one-shot learner: show it a task once, and it learns and generalizes within seconds. The company says the capability emerged from pretraining on physical data at scale, as a step toward general intelligence for the physical world.
Robert Scoble relayed that his robotics contacts were universally stunned, calling it an important breakthrough the industry didn't see coming.
