Databricks AI Extract achieves 95% accuracy on PDF field extraction
jefrankle · x · 2026-08-20
Databricks launched AI Extract, a feature designed to solve the challenge of extracting fields from PDFs for agents. Since LLMs are trained on next-token prediction, they tend to "autocorrect" content incorrectly. The new capability achieves 95% accuracy (compared to 87% for others) with very low cost. It can be called directly from SQL and used across the platform.
