Codex speeds up tax prep pilot by 30%

OpenAI shared a non-coding application of Codex: a tax-prep pilot processed 7,000 returns and cut preparation time by about a third. They also introduced the open-source Codex harness, which allows teams to integrate agents into internal tools and dashboards, handling the agent loop while the app controls context and approvals.
