Meta AI Desktop App for macOS Officially Launches With Screen Sharing

Meta's macOS desktop app has officially rolled out in certain regions. New features include screen sharing — users can attach a specific app's screen as context — plus a new dictation feature.
Context: references like a "Download Meta AI" button had already appeared in Meta AI web builds, and Meta recently shipped a CLI tool powered by Muse Spark 1.2. With OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and xAI all racing to own the desktop "super app" surface, the desktop client is becoming a default home for AI assistants; Meta's always-on agent codenamed Hatch may eventually land inside it.
