Next decade's tech progress to surpass the last century; 2050 may exceed 5,000 years of civilization

This post argues against the skepticism that curing diseases or reversing aging within a decade is impossible. The author contends that people mistakenly assume future progress will be merely a linear acceleration of the past. Instead, the next decade is expected to bring more technological advancement than the entire last century combined. Consequently, feats thought to be a century or two away could become possible in 10–15 years. By 2050, scientific and technological progress could likely exceed that of the previous 5,000 years of human civilization combined. This illustrates the essence of the technological singularity: progress becomes so rapid, compounding, and transformative that it is extraordinarily difficult to extrapolate the future from the past.
