Claude protein design seems to rediscover Protein Hunter protocol
sokrypton · x · 2026-08-20
Sokrypton notes that Claude's protein binder design appears to have rediscovered the team's 'Protein Hunter' protocol. This approach starts from an all 'X' sequence, uses diffusion-based structure prediction models to hallucinate plausible structures, and then iteratively refines them through sequence design and structure prediction, similar to AF2Cycler and LASErMPNN workflows.
