Bio models as soft verifiers vs LLMs using scientific models
Tkaraletsos · x · 2026-08-20
Through the rbio1 project, the author showed that learned biological models can act as 'soft verifiers,' transferring knowledge into LLMs and teaching them scientific reasoning. Anthropic's recent demo demonstrates the complementary direction: an LLM agent using scientific models to design and evaluate. This signals a trend towards reasoning agents orchestrating specialized scientific models in AI for Science.
