Claude Code CLI version 2.1.236 has been released with 33 CLI changes. Highlights include:
- Added ANTHROPICDEFAULTMODEL environment variable to set the default model for new sessions, while /model overrides and persists.
- macOS sandbox improvements: wildcard read-deny rules now override allowed regions and prevent bypass via renames.
- SendMessage adds notifywhenidle to request a one-off idle notice from another session without polling.
