TRACES Benchmark: First to Grade AI Discovery Over Retrieval

Apodex AI introduced TRACES, the first benchmark designed to measure 'discoverative AI.' Unlike traditional benchmarks that test retrieval of known answers, TRACES evaluates the investigation process itself—evidence handling, hypothesis testing, and reaching verifiable conclusions on problems without answer keys. The release includes a definition of discoverative intelligence, a rubric to distinguish sound investigation from lucky guesses, and an open call for solvers and problems.
