Physics of Agents: Predicting Collective Behavior with Statistical Physics
james_y_zou · x · 2026-08-20
A new work titled 'Physics of Agents' investigates whether the evolution of opinions in a multi-agent system can be described as a dynamical system. As AI agents interact and influence one another, the research aims to predict the collective behavior that emerges. Surprisingly, their dynamics follow compact, predictive laws of statistical physics.
