Indian payment giant Razorpay has launched 'Vulcan', India's first transformer-based AI foundation model purpose-built for payments. Trained on 3 trillion data points, the model aims to understand the entire ecosystem of money movement rather than solving isolated problems. Currently in beta with over 51,000 businesses, Vulcan is reported to improve payment success rates by 8–10%. Razorpay cites its massive high-quality data, real-time infra, and payment breadth as key competitive advantages.
