Claude designs novel protein binders from scratch, hitting 14 of 15 targets
AllThingsApx · x · 2026-08-20
Anthropic reports that Claude autonomously designed novel (de novo) protein binders for 14 of 15 targets given expert-written prompts, with Adaptyv Bio and Twist Bioscience independently building and testing the designs — work that traditionally takes experts weeks to months per target. Community voices note protein-design agents and open binder generators like Proteina-Complexa are becoming complementary.
