Debate: Real barriers of AI-assisted bioweapons

David Manheim references Abi Olvera's article discussing the risks of AI-assisted bioweapons. Olerva interviewed dozens of biosecurity experts, concluding that while AI simplifies virology, creating bioweapons remains extremely difficult and ineffective. Manheim counters that he is more concerned about AI lowering the barrier for chemical weapons, which are within current model capabilities.
