Backflip turns any scan into editable CAD for $10 a part, down from $1000+

Fewer than 1% of factory parts exist in CAD, and recreating a single broken part costs over $1000. Backflip — founded by Markforged co-founder and former CEO Greg Mark — claims to cut that to $10 per part: upload a scan, mesh, or STL and get a fully editable CAD model with a feature tree that opens in Fusion, complete with parametric constraints (change one hole's diameter and the others follow). Mark envisions huge virtual warehouses of parts produced on demand.
