At ModCon 2026, Modular and Qualcomm announced major updates: Mojo 1.0 is now fully open source under Apache 2.0; the Modular Platform now supports a wide range of hardware including NVIDIA, AMD, AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and Qualcomm accelerators; MAX license is now source-available without device restrictions; and native Windows support for Mojo is coming. This initiative aims to provide a unified software platform for heterogeneous compute.
