Prominent AI researcher Sanja Fidler announces Veeda (@VeedaAI), a robotics startup cofounded with longtime collaborators Zan Gojcic and Huan Ling.
Her thesis: the scaling moment for Physical AI will come from robots learning through interaction with the world—just as humans learn by trial and error, and as LLMs only truly unlocked their capabilities once trained in interactive environments. The central challenge is making interactive learning feasible at scale, since the real world is not a practical training ground for robots.
