Moderna's AI-Designed Personalized mRNA Cancer Therapy Succeeds in Phase 3
kimmonismus · x · 2026-08-19
Moderna and Merck's AI-assisted personalized mRNA cancer treatment, intismeran (V940), has succeeded in a Phase 3 trial. The therapy sequences each patient's tumor, where AI algorithms analyze mutations to select up to 34 neoantigens most likely to trigger an immune response. These targets are encoded into a personalized mRNA vaccine, marking a major milestone for AI in molecular design and personalized medicine.
