MarvinTBaumann · x · 2026-08-19
Unitree has started its IPO in Shanghai, becoming the first humanoid robot maker listed on the Chinese mainland, with retail investors oversubscribing by 8,000 times. Despite the US ban, this is viewed as a defining moment for Chinese startups, potentially positioning China to own the robotics era in the 2020s much like the US owned software in the 2000s.
