The Ornith-1.5 family of open-source LLMs has been released, featuring 9B Dense, 35B MoE, and 397B MoE variants under the MIT license. Trained with self-improving strategies, the models claim state-of-the-art performance among open weights and parity with Claude Opus 4.8 on reasoning, agentic, and coding tasks. Reported benchmarks include Terminal-Bench 2.1 (86.1) and SWE-Bench (86 verified).
